"Unearthly is only a term that one uses when they think they've seen it all."
The art style is interesting and the story, at least in the first two or three pages didn't intrigue me too much. I do think that the concept that this book is made from is good and the plot is interesting, and throughout the book, it had me wondering, where was the author going to go with this book?
Although it is not the most intriguing book in the world, the way the story is executed is unique. A thing that I did appreciate was that the story and the plot moved along quickly. I didn't really get all attached to the main character while still in the beginning.
I do have friends and family members who would enjoy this book, but for me, it wasn't my cup of tea. The writing style was sort of hard for me to read through, and some parts didn't really connect with me and didn't make a lot of sense, but I do really enjoy the way that Whit Taylor creatively executes thier ideas, morals, and lessons throughout the book.
If I was totally honest, what made me not enjoy this book to the fullest was the writing style. It didn't really pique my interest as of now. For me, the story was hard to follow and was a bit confusing at times.
Overall, I give "Ghost Stories" by Whit Taylor two out of five stars. I did really enjoy the morals presented within the book, but for me the writing style threw me off a bit. I do believe that Whit Taylor is an amazing writer and great storyteller, but it just wasn't for me.
